The Nutty Boys hit New York as part of their first US tour in over ten years in support of their recent album Theatre Of The Absurd Presents C’est La Vie

Special guests The Lightening Seeds will be warming up the crowd with crowd-pleasing hits (expect to be singing along to Three Lions On A Shirt).

A good time is guaranteed for all, as the lads may have lost a yard of pace, but can still create a right proper knees up when they’re in the mood.

Suggs has a fondness for playing The Big Apple, “I remember the first time we were in the USA, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge, The Mud Club, ABC City. I remember Jelly Bean Benetiz, Madonna, Beastie Boys, Run DC Link Ray. I remember California, Fishbone, BossTones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Whisky Gogo, The Dead Kennedys. America was everything we hoped it would be, we were small fish and we still are and we can’t wait to be swimming in those waters again!”

The new album has many highs and The Law According To Dr Kippah is certainly one of them, being Lee Thompson’s bizarre recollections of that scorching summer of 1976. Britain’s favourite actor and mod Martin Freeman also makes an appearance on the album (Let’s hope he pops up to introduce them on stage). With over 15 UK top ten singles in their back pocket there will be hit-after-hit all night. So come celebrate life’s ups, downs, and sideways, as the Boys bringing The Camden Town vibe to Midtown Manhattan.

Tickets are still available, and at 80 bucks a pop, not too painful. Theatre Of The Absurd is out now, and we particularly like the double vinyl version available to order from our friends at Catalyst Records LES.
