meet the team…

A native Londoner firmly embedded in NYC, I started britnote to bring my love of British style & culture to New Yorkers and expats alike. I’m applying my 25 years’ experience in the global event industry to planning the 2025 britnote festival with the team! You can find me in my happy place ~ any one of NYC’s pools, or down at Brighton Beach braving the elements!

After a lifetime at the coalface of the U.K. music press I relocated to New York City and The Crossroads Of The World. Every nationality is here to be celebrated. So let’s enjoy a little bit of Britain in The Big Apple. I’ll take a bite of my scotch egg and raise a pint of Fullers London Pride to it all, ‘Cheers’. Let’s revel in everything this fantastic city has to offer, straight after I finish my pint.

A British Northerner by birth, I did a Dick Whittington and moved to London where I quickly discovered the streets were not paved with gold but did cost a pretty penny to live in them!

After becoming disillusioned with the dream of acting, I did the next best thing and moved into a career in events, where I still get to put on a show! It was a job in events that brought me to New York over 10 years ago. In my spare time, I’ve been introducing the drama of Eurovision to a rather bewildered NYC audience, and have been known to do a few stand up comedy gigs for laughs!

From Lancashire to New York via London Town on a flying carpet full of records and guitars, I landed here in NYC by accident with no way home, now I couldn't to be anywhere else.

And you know, there’s no-one more loving, creative, stronger  and funnier than the ex-pats here in New York.  We share a sense of disbelief and often wonder why we’re here - but guess what? We are!

In the words of the great John Lennon and Primal Scream it’s time to  “Come Together “ !
